Boat Scam Moves to EBay
A well known boat scam has graduated to EBay. Similar ads, including the same photos, have been popping up on the internet on boat sales websites. Now it appears the scammers are setting their sights on EBay.
Scams don't just affect those who are unlucky enough to get taken for their money, it also affects the following groups:
- Reputable dealers who find customers are asking why their prices can't match the ones they have seen online which are 'too good to be true'
- Legitimate sellers of 2nd boats who find they look overpriced and crowded by scammer's ads
- Boarders looking for a new ride who have to weed out the rubbish from their search
We'll try contacting EBay to see what the progress we can make on getting these dodgy ads removed... follow the trail on our forums and make your opinion heard.
